Another day in paradise

Hello all,
Last day of April, can you believe it? Saturday, May 3, 2008 Steve & I will celebrate 11 years of marriage! Can you believe THAT?!?!?

Nana Byron moved to the Isle at Ledgewood in Milford on Monday. This is a new facility for the elderly with memory loss. She will thrive there. We have not visited yet as we thought she should have some time to adjust. She is declining quickly now.

Alex and I are going to visit the Sylvan Learning Center tomorrow. Alex is in need of some extra reading help. The public school system here (as is everywhere) is just too overwhelmed, it is my duty to bang on that door and get the attention she needs. She is so smart but the classroom environment seems to cause extreme anxiety. We and the pediatritian have a few plans of action. This is the first step, get her some extra help and built confidence. Then we'll ease her into some testing to see if there are any issues learning developmentwise. It is so hard being a parent in this world today!

We hope you are all well and enjoy May day tomorrow! Enjoy the spring, it really is here, snow or not!
