Children in the Arts

On May 18th, in the Monadnock Region we celebrated "Children in the Arts". This is a PTO sponsored event in our area. Every year we have something like a fesival in our area celebrating some theme through art. This year we celebrated Heros & Heroines...I am very proud to say that the children in our school choose real family members or friends as their heros so we made puppets for the "Giant Puppet Parade" of those people who are our heros.

Alex chose her Cousin David Bell who just graduated from the Army Q Course as a Green Beret. She says he is her hero because he is brave and strong and kind and gentle at the same time. She says she knows that he is protecting her and everyone else in our country and that is what a hero is.

David and his wife Ashley are expecting their first child any day. They were just transferred to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. We also have another nephew there, James Bell and his wife, Tammy, who just had a baby boy. David & James are now together on the same base, such a treat for family in the service!!! We love you guys! Be safe!!!

Love Trish, Steve & Alex
